Our client is a leading boutique Textile manufacturing and retail business base in Dublin. We have partnered with them to find a strong Procurement Specialist to join their team in their HQ, based near Dublin Airport.
This role would be to build and grow the procurement function of a growing business, with a focus on optimised supplier management, risk mitigation, standardised procedures and supporting the development of their supply chain.
Responsibilities:
The primary focus will be the enhancement, monitoring, reengineering and reporting of the procurement approach. This will involve the identification of procurement risk, and opportunities for enhanced working capital management, which developing measurements for enhanced value. The implementation of internal guidelines, monitoring of adherence, and support of the businesses client relationships.
The role includes a wide range of activities as outlined below:
Govern the supplier qualification process in compliance with procurement policies and processes
Optimise the supplier validation, engagement, onboarding and management processes
Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations
Lead quotation and tender activities
Co-ordinate and drive contract negotiation with suppliers
Development, analysis and reporting of supplier management metrics at both detailed and MI levels
Maintain a central repository for key performance, contractual and financial documentation
Develop innovative approach to identifying vendor and process risk, and support mitigation activities to protect from potential liabilities
Indirect material sourcing and procurement, ensuring accuracy and contract adherence
Complete material and service analysis, validating activity and supporting variance reconciliation
Tracking of service and cost procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement activities
Provide ongoing support and updates to the Head of Supply Chain
Construct reports and dashboard views for the Senior Management team
Applicants must have the following:
Must have a valid Right To Work status or Ireland. Sponsorship willnotbe offered.
CIPS training preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in procurement
Qualification in procurement or finance desired
Experience driving procurement model change within supply chain is a distinct advantage
Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential
High degree of numeracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
