We are working with a global consulting firm that is looking to hire a Project Manager in it's Dublin offices.
NOTE: Applicants must have right to work in Ireland. Sponsorship is not offered.
The role will work on large capital infrastructure projects across Ireland, supporting clients to secure optimum value from projects and provide the expertise they require to navigate challenging, complex situations.
Main responsibilities:
Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Directors and above
Train, support and lead staff
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Develop internal relationships
Working with senior leaders of major global businesses to optimise the efficiency of their capital programmes and supporting them to deliver their intended benefits
Applicants must have the following:
Experience in projects in one or more of the following sectors: aviation, defence, transportation (roads, rail), energy, housing, hospitals.
Providing expertise to clients who strive to deliver projects
Experience in leading the management of contracts, suppliers, or projects and a strong understanding of the core principles used to support delivery of projects;
Has exceptional technical aptitude and analytical skills, to support the creation and delivery of clear and understandable client solutions;
Has a strong desire to succeed by learning from colleagues and creating collaborative relationships at all levels;
Industry background and currently holds a senior position in their organisation;
Has a strong commercial background, with experience in supply chain management, procurement, commercial management and/ or commercial and contract negotiations;
The ability to lead a team to deliver projects and solutions;
Must have an Engineering or Mathematical academic background
