We have a fantastic new opportunity with our market leading client within their growing Payroll team in the Belfast office as a Payroll Manager – the successful candidate will take responsibility for high quality and timely payroll services to a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end payroll experience within a high-volume business and hands on experience in statutory payments/deductions along with Pension contributions and the management of the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll submissions.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of payroll work before client delivery.
Provide expert advice on payroll operations and handle client and team queries effectively, ensuring escalation procedures are in place.
Manage team workloads and allocations.
Prepare client fee and budget details, adhere to internal finance procedures, and approve BACS files for employee payments.
Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment regulations and coordinate payroll offerings with the global team.
Assist with HMRC audits and identify, manage, and mitigate risks impacting client delivery.
Working with internal teams ensuring effective controls/procedures are in place for setup of internal and external systems, tools and processes as part of the client transition process.
Qualifications:
Proficient in UK Payroll technical knowledge and experienced in stakeholder management.
Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent networking abilities and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workload management skills.
Experience managing a team and proficiency in payroll compliance regulations.
Over 8+ years of hands-on experience in Payroll, preferably within a high-volume payroll business.
End-to-end Payroll knowledge.
Proficient in understanding payroll compliance regulations, statutory payments/deductions, and pension contributions management.
Payroll qualifications such as Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) preferred.
